SCYA is excited to offer the sailors and host clubs the opportunity to register online through Regatta Network for the first time. This will ease the registration process for many sailors, allow for online payment, and will assist many clubs with the race management. 2018 marks the 89th running of the SCYA Midwinter regatta and we have some special events planned. This year Nevada Yacht Club and Morro Bay Yacht Club join the list of host venues. Interest in Model Boat racing continues to be strong with 3 venues hosting fleets. San Diego Yacht Club will be hosting the PAC52 and TP52 classes in the Midwinters for the first time. We are pleased to partner with Coronado Yacht Club in hosting the Martin 16 class opened to disabled sailors. For Power boaters the Hollywood Yacht Club will host a predicted log contest in the Long Beach area.
The Midwinter regatta has something for everyone interested in boating. If there is an activity or class that you would like to see let us know and we will try to accommodate the communities needs. All the host venues are ready to put on a great event and we encourage you to pay them a visit. This event would not be possible if not for our supporters. We encourage you to seek out their products and services when the need arises. Coral Reef Sailing Apparel will be providing the commemorative apparel for this year’s event. It will be available through our website and theirs in the near future.
